Who are our family members?
Here are common family members vocabulary that we will encounter as we learn English:
- Father: A man in relation to his child or children.
Mother: a woman in relation to her child or children. - Sister: a woman or girl in relation to other daughters and sons of her parents.
- Brother: a man or boy in relation to other sons and daughters of his parents.
- Uncle: The brother of the mother/father, that is related to the son/daughter.
- Aunt: The Sister of the mother/father, that is related to the son/daughter.
- Grandfather: The father of the father.
- Grandmother: The mother of the mother.
- Step-brother: A political related (that is no blood relationship) male to another person, commonly through the union of different parents.
- Step-sister A political related (that is no blood relationship) female to another person, commonly through the union of different parents.
