Hello students, I make this audio to share with you some facts about Idea Villarinius' life.
Idea Villarinius was born in 1920 in Uruguay.
She was born in an educated middle-class family.
In that time musical literature, we are always present.
Her father was a poet and her mother
was very well educated in European literature. Idea was a professor of literature and a secondary education teacher.
She wrote since she was very young and her first mature poems were created between her 17 and 21 years old.
Her first work La Supricante was edited in 1945 with only her name.
In this subsequent years she would become recognized internationally and awarded with various awards.
Her poems were intimate, intense and distressing but always very coherent.
She died in Montevideo on 28th April 2009.

Horacio Quiroga

Horacio Quiroga was a famous writer and he worked as a Literature teacher, too. His most recognized books are “Cuentos de la selva”, “Anaconda”, “Cuentos de amor de locura y de muerte”, “La gallina degollada y otros cuentos”, and “Los desterrados”.
Quiroga was born on December 31, 1878, in Salto, Uruguay. His father was Argentinian and his mother was Uruguayan.
He studied in Uruguay and when he went to school he liked reading, Chemistry, Photography, cycling and life in the countryside.
He lived most of his adulthood in Argentina, in the jungle.
He had got two wives and three children. He died on February 19, 1937, in Buenos Aires.
