Description: This course offers basic knowledge about the United Nations, its purpose, main organs and purpose. Additionally this course includes information about human rights. You wll learn about the UN main organs, UN Charter, Universal Declaration for Human Rights and needs and wants. The course will help you to better understand how global politics work through the UN system and what kind of standards the states have set for international peace and human rights.

Purposes:  The goal of this course is to provide an introduction to the world of international cooperation that takes place in the United Nations. It will give the students chance to familiarize with the history and work of the UN. Additionally, this course will rise the awareness of the students in international human rights.. The content of this course is relevant to understand and address global politics, international cooperation and human rights.
